My name is Nina Beckers.
I am a Dietitian, Chef-cook & Pastry maker.
During my studies I started making pies for coffee houses in Ghent. My interest in pastry grew over the years and I learned and practiced the cuisine of patisserie. My eager for cooking was big and I wanted to learn more about food culture and world cuisine in general. During summer holidays I always combined long travels with short term internships, such as the ones with the Amal women training center in Marrakech, Morocco where I learned the finesse of traditional tajines and couscous. I continued this a following year at La famille, also in Marrakech to carry on with practicing the Moroccan cuisine. During a road trip through California I helped baking pies at Gjusta (Venice beach, L.A). My last learning episode so far was in London at Honey & Co. Here I helped at the pastry side, but their Middle Eastern oriented dishes were also really delicious.
Now I make pies for several coffee shops in Ghent but you can also order ninja's table pies & quiches for your parties, as a present or just for you.
I also give cooking workshops about different themes, ranging from Moroccan tajine or couscous to cakes and pies
